Diploma in Education Eligibility (D.ed)

• The minimum qualification to apply for it is a pass with 50% in 10+2 with science or arts group. The aspirants are required to have an aggregate of 45%, SC recognized board .


• Also, the candidates should attend a common entrance examination. The test is held in almost all states of India. The entrance tests conducted by some states are listed below.

B.Ed. Eligibility

• The minimum qualification required for entry into B.Ed. course is Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) form a recognised board/university with at least 50% marks.


• These exams are generally held in the month of June-July and consist of Objective type questions on the subject of English, General Knowledge, Aptitude, Basic Arithmetic Teaching Potential and one local language in some states. The results of these exams are generally out by July/Aug. Candidates go through practical training courses, apart from theory classes


• Students need to appear in an entrance test conducted by the various states and Independent educational bodies and universities for admission in various teaching institutions attached with it according to the rank of the candidate in the entrance exam.

Master of Education Eligibility

• Those who have acquired their Bachelor of Education degree can pursue Masters Degree in Education. Percentage of marks varies from institute to institute though 50-55% in B.Ed./B.El.Ed. is the most common percentage.
• The admission to the course is based on merit, the admission procedure and mode of selection may vary from one university to another.
• Some universities or state conduct their own entrance examination, in order to select deserving candidates.
